WASHINGTON (Reuters] – On Thursday, Congressman Kevin McCarthy, the highest ranking Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives received subpoenas for their testimony from the House Committee investigating an attack on Capitol Hill last year by Trump’s supporters.

Jan. 6 House Select Committee previously wrote letters to Republican lawmakers asking them for voluntary cooperation in the investigation.
