Musk said Tuesday at a Financial Times conference that Twitter’s ban on Trump was “morally wrong.”
On Thursday night, he tweeted his response to those comments and stressed that he doesn’t support Trump for president.
“Even though a less divisive presidential candidate would be better for 2024, I still believe Trump should be returned to Twitter,” he stated.
Trump stated that he doesn’t want to go back to Twitter but rather wants to create his Truth Social platform.
According to Twitter, he was removed from Twitter permanently on January 20, 2021 for the “risks of further incitement or violence” following storming the U.S. Capitol. Trump may run again for president in 2024, after he lost his 2020 re-election campaign.
