The Hackathon is part of TRON DAO’s long-term efforts to promote the mass adoption of blockchain technology and innovative cross-chain solutions. The Hackathon’s primary goal is to empower developers to create and execute DeFi, GameFi, NFT, and Web3 projects and build a robust content and entertainment community on TRON and other blockchain platforms.

A total bounty of $1million will fund the Hackathon. The Hackathon will have four tracks that include DeFi (GameFi), NFT (NFT) and Web3. To support the TRON/BTTC ecosystem growth, this will be an ongoing funding opportunity that runs every three months.

The Hackathon will have a permanent review panel and an additional special guest panel. All eligible submissions will undergo an evaluation from August 1 through 11, 2022. The winners will then be announced August 17th, 2022. Season 2 of the Hackathon will feature a stellar panel of judges from some of crypto’s most prestigious institutions and projects coming together to offer their expertise and accelerate the growth of the TRON DAO ecosystem.

This first phase of evaluation determines if the concepts are viable. It includes a reasonable fit of the topic, implementation of the required APIs and SDKs announced during Hackathon.

Judges will review all submissions which pass Stage 1 and 2 based on equally weighted criteria.

  • Technological Implementation – Does this project show quality software development
  • Design: Does the user experience and design for the project have a clear purpose?
  • Potential Impact: How big of an impact could the project have on the category’s target audience?
  • Quality of the Idea: Does the idea have a unique and original concept?

Potential winners will be selected by the judges based on their scores. Potential winners of the prize will be the applicants who have submitted the best scores according to the applicable criteria. TRON DAO Forum awards will be determined by community votes regarding Hackathon projects posted on the TRON DAO Forum.

TRON Grand hackathon 2022 is all about interactions and possibilities. The TRON DAO forum empowers the TRON OAO community to make a difference in the digital realm. Decentralizing the web means empowering the users.

APENFT Marketplace, as a bonus to the Hackathon winners will partner with them to offer resources and a platform that can help them reach their Hackathon goals. It also provides visibility for up-and coming NFT projects in the TRON/BTTC ecosystems.

Hackathon participants will be supported with various resources including funding opportunities through the TRON Ecosystem Fund and BTTC Ecosystem Fund as well as liquidity and integration with partner exchangings.

You can sign up to the contest for all Blockchain developers, product managers and designers. Eligible participants will include contestants who have completed a DeFi or GameFi or NFT project in Solidity. The projects will run on TRON or the BTTC bridge. Any existing project that has received significant improvements or new features in the Hackathon is eligible to participate.

The Hackathon Season 2 submission deadline is July 25, 2022. If contestants are keen to be eligible for additional TRONDAO Forum prizes, they are advised to sign up and submit projects early. The TRONDAO Forum will consider interactions within the threads of community members as well when judging the projects.

  • Go to TRONDAO.org/hackathon
  • Register for the Hackathon on the Hackathon Website by clicking the “Join Hackathon” button. To register, either sign up for a Devpost free account or login with an existing Devpost user to proceed. You will be able to get important updates as well as create your submission.
  • The Project Requirements state that applicants must complete a project. When using developer tools, the applicant must adhere to the terms of the license agreement. The sponsor and Devpost have permission to collect and store an applicant’s personal information to operate and publicize the Hackathon
  • Create a video that includes footage that explains your project’s features and functionality through a comprehensive demonstration.
