Peru economy grows 3.79% in March, weighed down by mining protests -Breaking

Most sectors showed improvement while key mining industries suffered from social conflict.
Peru is world number one. The No. 2 country in terms of production is Peru, although protests from communities living in the Andes requesting greater benefits from their mining industries have restricted production.
March saw Southern Copper (NYSE 🙂 Corp’s Cuajone Copper mine shut down for the entire month.
In contrast to the predicted 4% economic growth, which the central banks had projected in Friday’s press conference, the economy is not growing as fast.
Peru’s Finance Ministry expects an economy growth of 3.6% by 2022.
