WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg stated Monday that his agency can allow truck drivers to use their hours of service for delivery of infant formula if necessary.

This is primarily a matter of production, more than the movement of goods. Buttigieg said to reporters that if we find evidence of goods movement becoming a limitation, we will do everything we can to remove obstacles.

There is a nationwide shortage of food in the United States, which has caused some parents to struggle for their baby’s nutrition.
