MetaTheory is a Web3 gaming and entertainment company that Kevin Lin founded with Twitch on Monday. It has now raised $24 million through Series A funding.
Andreessen Horowitz from crypto capital (a16z), was the lead of this funding round. The announcement stated that there was participation from Pantera Capital, FTX ventures and other firms.
Lin isn’t the only one who has participated in creating digital immersive experiences. Lin had previously introduced DuskBreakers, an blockchain-based game before Metatheory was released in November 2013.
