SEOUL (Reuters). -North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un blasted his country’s reaction to the first COVID-19 officially confirmed epidemic as “immature”. He accused government officials of being inept and inertia, as fever cases swept across the country, according to state media reports on Wednesday.

North Korea has reported that 232,880 additional people had fever symptoms and that six deaths occurred after last week’s initial admission for the COVID epidemic. It didn’t say how many had become positive for COVID-19.

Kim presided over a meeting of Workers’ Party politburo members on Tuesday. He stated that the “immature state capability for coping with crisis” has increased “complexity” and “horrors” when fighting pandemic “time is the most precious thing in this world,” according to the KCNA.

North has seen 1.72million patients suffering from fever since the outbreak of COVID-19, with 62 of these deaths by Tuesday evening.

The KCNA reported that health authorities have created a COVID-19 treatment plan to address concerns about the country’s inaccessibility of medical infrastructure and vaccines.

Although the guide provides individualised treatments for various types of patients it does not detail which drugs were involved.
