WASHINGTON (Reuters] – On Wednesday, President Joe Biden took action to alleviate the crisis in infant formula supply in America. The White House invoked the Defense Production Act, which allows manufacturers to obtain ingredients to increase their production.

Biden directed U.S. agencies also to use commercial Aircraft of the Defense Department to transport formula from abroad to the United States.
