Ericsson to restructure operations, two executives to depart -Breaking

REUTERS/Aly SongSTOCKHOLM, (Reuters) – Ericsson (BS) announced Wednesday that it will restructure its operations to concentrate on business customers and mobile infrastructure. It also revealed the resignation of two top executives.
To increase the cloud competence and to develop products for automation, and artificial intelligence, a new business unit was formed by combining digital services with managed services.
Per Narvinger (who joined Ericsson in 1997) will direct the unit.
Cradlepoint CEO George Mulhern will lead a new unit to develop 5G-related products for big business.
Ericsson Executives: Arun Bansal, executive vice-president, and Peter Laurin head of managed business services will be leaving the company.
This new company will go into effect on June 1.
