REUTERS/Thomas Peter/FiesBRUSSELS: Europe’s 2nd-highest court ruled Wednesday that a fine of 28 million euros ($29.4million), for gun jumping, was imposed against Japanese printer manufacturer Canon. This is in response to closing a 2016 deal before securing EU regulatory approval.
“The (European) Commission was therefore right to observe that the Court’s case-law distinguishes between the concepts of ‘concentration’ and ‘implementation of a concentration’,” the Luxembourg-based General Court said.
