(Reuters) – Mastercard Inc. (NYSE:), Wednesday announced that it would fund lodging and travel for employees who seek abortions in other countries starting June. This is according to an internal memo.

A 1973 decision that allowed abortion to be legalized nationwide is being overturned by the nation’s top court, as per a draft majority opinion of the U.S. Supreme Court.

The effort has already been started by three of six U.S. major banks. Citigroup Inc (NYSE:) started covering travel costs for employees traveling out of the country for abortions, becoming the first major bank to do this.

Peers JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE:) and Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYSE: ) is also looking at its policies regarding abortion benefits.

Mastercard covers expenses for termination of pregnancy, as well as surrogates, vasectomy, and contraception access, according to the memo.
