Russia closes Moscow bureau of Canadian broadcaster CBC -Breaking

REUTERS/Mark Blinch LONDON, (Reuters) – Russia’s Foreign Ministry announced Wednesday that it would close the Moscow branch of Canada’s CBC. It will also withdraw visas from journalists and grant accreditation to them. This follows Canada banning Russia Today.
Maria Zakharova (Russian foreign ministry spokesperson) said to reporters that they continue to see open attacks on Russian media outlets from countries belonging the so-called collective West, who are civilized.
“A decision was taken to make retaliatory (I emphasize retaliatory) measures relative to Canada’s actions: The closure of Canada’s Moscow Bureau of Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the cancellation of accreditations, visas, and other related documents.
