Siemens Energy plans bid for remaining Siemens Gamesa stake

FRANKFURT – Two sources familiar with the matter say that Siemens Energy is preparing a bid for the Spanish-listed wind-turbine maker Siemens Gamesa.

The stake currently stands at 3.14 Billion Euros (or $3.31 billion).

Bloomberg was the first to report on this news.

Siemens Energy spokesperson refused to comment.

Reuters heard earlier this year from sources that Siemens Energy was looking into options to purchase the remainder stake. This could include a possible deal by summer.
