WASHINGTON (Reuters), – On Wednesday, the U.S. cybersecurity regulator ordered federal officials update or to remove a slew if products that VMWare Inc made. The agency claimed hackers were exploiting vulnerable versions of these products to enter targeted companies.

In an advisory, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency stated that hackers were able to decode recent VMWare product updates and could use this information to hack into older versions.

VMWare didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
