(Reuters] – Russia’s economic growth will be no less than 5% in 2022 according to Maxim Oreshkin on Thursday. He made this prediction after a meeting with the president. His forecast was more optimistic than those of the economy ministry.

According to the ministry, gross domestic product (GDP), is expected to shrink by 7.8% between 2022 and 2023. It had previously stated that the economy would contract by over 12% in 2022, which would mark the largest GDP decline since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
