Investing.com — The shares of Twitter Inc (NYSE) rose 2.5% on Thursday after Bloomberg reported that Tesla executives had told their employees about the $44 Billion deal to buy the social media firm to Tesla (NASDAQ): CEO Elon Tesla is “moving ahead as planned.”

Bloomberg reported that Twitter executives said in an all-hands meeting on Thursday, that they would not renegotiate the $54.20 per-share price. Sources who were present at the meeting confirmed to Bloomberg.

Vijaya Gadde (Twitter’s top lawyer) was said to have informed employees that she had no plans to stop the deal.

Musk had tweeted this week that the deal was being held up due to concerns about the amount of spam accounts and bots on the social media platform.

According to reports, the meeting included other CEOs of Twitter, such as Parag Agrawal. It was meant for leaders to talk about the deal and to answer any questions.
