Stocks in Twitter (NYSE) saw a short bounce after employees were informed by executives that Elon Musk’s deal was proceeding as planned, according to Bloomberg News headlines.

Musk suggested that the deal was not on “hold” when he tried to get more information on the spambot problem. However, the executives stated that the deal is now on its way.

Additionally, Musk was informed by employees that the company wouldn’t renegotiate his $54.20 share price.

Twitter shares trade with an almost 50% spread on the deal price. This suggests that the market doesn’t see this deal as happening.

Musk for his part has secured funding for the deal through debt and equity partners. By removing the section of the loan which required him to pledge some of his Tesla stock (NASDAQ:), he was able to secure the rest of the loan.

1 billion is the breaking-up fee.
