U.S. sanctions Lebanese businessman, his companies over Hezbollah links -Breaking

REUTERS/Andrew KellyWASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The U.S. Treasury Department issued Thursday new Hezbollah-related sanctions. It designated Ahmad Jalal Reda Abdallah, a Lebanese financial facilitator and a businessman from Lebanon, as well as Ahmad Jalal Reda Abdallah, an Iranian-backed group’s financial facilitator.
Abdallah, his five associates, and eight of his companies in Lebanon were placed on the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) sanctions list.
