A final communiqué showed this.
Japanese Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki told journalists on Thursday that Tokyo wants his G7 counterparts reaffirm their commitment to exchange-rate policies. This is as Japan struggles to control a sharp fall in the yen, which has pushed up import prices.
