NEW DELHI, (Reuters) – India’s Jet Airways announced Friday that the regulator in India has given clearance for it to resume commercial flight operations.

Jet was once India’s most important private carrier. In April 2019, Jet shut down after running out money.

Jet stated that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation granted an operator certificate to Jet “was the last step in a comprehensive regulatory compliance process that involved several procedural checks to ensure the airline’s operational readiness.”

According to the airline, it stated in June that the National Company Law Tribunal had approved a resolution plan by Kalrock Capital (London) and Murari Lal Jalan (UAE).
