Oracle’s Ellison joined Nov 2020 call about contesting Trump’s defeat -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters), Larry Ellison co-founded the company with his billionaire brother, Bill. Oracle Corp According to court documents, an email reveals that (NYSE:) participated in a telephone call about strategies for defeating President Donald Trump shortly after his election.

Washington Post first reported the Nov. 14th 2020 call as a first instance of technology industry leaders joining Trump allies in strategizing about how to win the election.

Catherine Engelbrecht, an activist conservative, sent an email on November 14, 2020 that detailed the telephone call.

Fair Fight Inc submitted a court document this week revealing Engelbrecht’s email. Fair Fight Inc was founded in 2018 and is run by Stacey Abrams, a voting rights activist who also happens to be Democrat Party politician.

Fair Fight sued Engelbrecht’s conservative voter-monitoring group True The Vote in late 2020. The lawsuit remains pending.

Engelbrecht sent an email confirming that Ellison was part of a phone conversation with Senator Lindsey Graham, Jay Sekulow (longtime Trump legal advisor), and other Trump allies.

The request for comments was not answered by an Oracle spokesperson immediately.

Ellison was one the few high-ranking technology executives who supported Trump’s candidacy for 2020. According to The Desert Sun, he held a fundraiser at Rancho Mirage in California for Trump’s former President.

Ellison committed nearly $1 billion of financing for his longtime friend Elon Musk to buy a house. Twitter Inc (NYSE:).. Musk is yet to complete the $44 million acquisition of social media platform.
