William Hinman was the former Director of US Securities and Exchange Commission’s Corporate Finance Division. He claimed that Ripple considered XRP an unregistered security and therefore it had to stop offering it. American Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) cannot confirm or deny whether a Bill Hinman video was legitimate.
