Credit Suisse chair backs CEO Gottstein, says no talks on replacement -Breaking

REUTERS/Arnd WiegmannZURICH, (Reuters) – Credit Suisse Chairman Axel Lehmann has reiterated his support of Chief Executive Thomas Gottstein in the face of investor uncertainty. Lehmann stated that Lehmann said Monday to CNBC that he believes Gottstein is right for the job at Switzerland’s 2nd-biggest Bank.
Lehmann stated, “I support him fully because he’s good,” dismissing “rumors and speculations” that Gottstein might be leaving. When asked specifically about reports that talks were underway to replace him, Lehmann replied: “I don’t know, that hasn’t happened, it is incorrect.”
