DAVOS, Switzerland (Reuters – Kristalina Georgieva is the International Monetary Fund Managing Direct. She said on Monday she did not anticipate a global recession but could not rule it out.

Georgieva answered a question at the World Economic Forum asking if she anticipated a recession. It doesn’t mean it is out of the question.”

She stated that the global economy outlook had changed since the IMF reduced its growth forecast for 2022 due to the conflict in Ukraine and China’s slowdown, as well as global price shocks, especially in food. In a brief period, the horizon has dimmed.”
