Supply chain, labour snags delay CFM jet engines

(Reuters) – CFM International, a maker of jet engines, is experiencing delays in industrial production for six to eight more weeks due to French supply chain problems. However, the company expects to make up most of the delay by the end of the fourth quarter according to three sources familiar with the matter.

Owned by co-owners General Electric France’s (NYSE:) Safran CFM (EPA:), is the most powerful jet engine producer by number of units. It powers all of the four newly developed narrowbody aircraft, including all Boeings (NYSE:) 737 MAX.
