REUTERS/Eva PlevierDAVOS, (Reuters) – Klaas Knot from the Dutch Central Bank is one of the most conservative member of the European Central Bank’s Governing council. He said he supports Christine Lagarde’s schedule for interest rate increases.
Knot stated that “Our President has published a blog about how policy would react to inflation.” “I’m fully on board, I fully support everything that is in the blog, I think it nicely charts the policy course.”
Lagarde said earlier this week that the minus 0.5% rate of deposit should increase in July, and may rise to zero by September.
