LISBON (Reuters), Ryanair Group Chief executive Michael O’Leary believes that the load factor will increase to 92% in May from 91% April. Then it will climb to 94-95% by June-August. Bookings are looking strong and almost reaching pre-coronavirus level.

According to him, Wednesday’s closing of Europe’s most budget airline will see just more than 15 million passengers flown, an increase from the 14.24 million in April. This compares to 1.04 million a yearly.

“Bookings over the last number of weeks have continued to strengthen – both the numbers are strengthening and average fairs being paid through the summer are rising,” he said, explaining that there were very strong bookings to beaches of Portugal, Spain, Balearics, Canaries, Italy and Greece.

“If Ukraine does not receive any negative or adverse news, then the peak summer months in this year’s calendar will be extremely busy.”
