At the conference, a journalist from CNBC sat down with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) Hester Peirce to get her reaction on Luna’s (UST) recent crash and whether or not the tragic event has pressured regulators to clamp down on the industry.
Peirce stated that regulation of crypto will be a lot more quickly after the crash. Peirce believes that it is important to regulate responsibly and should work with innovators in crypto. She feels that regulations should not be used to limit innovation in cryptospace.
