Metaverse against Metaverse: What DecentWorld Offers That Others Don’t

With the emergence of new metaverses it is increasingly hard to make a mark in this age. A metaverse project must offer undeniable benefit and have something the others do not. DecentWorld has found the recipe to success. In just two months, DecentWorld’s Swiss-owned company generated $19M in revenue by using a fresh approach for the creation of metaverses.

Fictional realms & limitless possibilities, but at the same time, half-empty spaces & a sense of anarchy–this is what you usually find within new metaverse platforms. Although digital freedom can have its charms, this approach may not be long-term beneficial.

DecentWorld brings a fresh approach to virtual experiences. Users can join professionally designed, controlled environments that are a replica of the real one.

Metaverse Based On Real-World Principles

In the age of digital wastelands, DecentWorld’s key difference was their decision to build on an existing world basis–the concept of creating a metaverse that has a realistic nature sometimes is also referred to as “realverse”. DecentWorld provided a digitized globe and geo-based Assets to counter the common approach. This made DecentWorld a strong alternative to all other fictional metaverses.

“It’s the familiarity aspect that helps our users to understand and trust our platform quicker. Our metaverse, like Monopoly, is built from real street examples. The familiarity is the factor that brings more confidence when setting the value for areas or objects – the more prestige a street has in the real world, the more valuable it is in the metaverse,” the DecentWorld creators say.
DecentWorld’s current metaverse has over 18.5 million Streets. These street covers areas around the globe. Since its March 2022 launch, DecentWorld has sold over 2,300 Streets. The top 20 real-world-famous Streets have been sold at six-figure prices.

For example, Champs-Élysées (Paris, France) , and Wall Street (NYC, United States) already have owners, who paid respectively $200,000, and a staggering $900,000 to purchase these Street NFTs. As of now, the street sales amount to $19 million.

By offering an expertly developed metaverse, the goal of this project is to create long-term value for platform users as well as businesses. DecentWorld plans to make their APIs open to other creators and businesses to allow them to add their services and products, creating a realverse that is all-inclusive.

A controlled environment for the best user experience

DecentWorld’s team says that another important factor was to have a controlled environment. Market metaverses are created by users. Everyone has access to the content and can add or modify it. However, the final product is not controlled in any way.

“DecentWorld is a metaverse carefully crafted and maintained by a team of in-house developers. This was done to ensure that we had complete control over the quality of the product. The better the foundation, the greater the possibilities for the future.
An alternative to such controlled environments is one that is free and open for all users. Whilst it has its own charm, it also greatly increases the risk of creating a digital wasteland – a space that is filled with everything, but at the same time – nothing of value at all,” the DecentWorld team explained.
DecentWorld is a decentralized, multi-user, open-source metaverse that aims to provide a seamless, real-time, concurrent, interoperable and interchangeable user experience. The project’s roadmap is packed with new, upcoming releases scheduled for this year, including a P2P Marketplace, a DecentWorld mobile app, the first 3D city with entertaining quests for users to explore, and more.
