BEIJING (Reuters – China’s finance ministry announced on Thursday that subsidies would be offered to Chinese airlines between May 21 and July 20, in order to assist carriers with the COVID-19 downturn.

The ministry stated in a statement that cash support would only be granted if domestic flight numbers per day are less than or equal to 4,500.
