Dollar General raises annual sales forecast -Breaking

(Reuters) – Dollar General Corp (NYSE:) increased its year-end sales forecast on Thursday as Americans shop at discount stores with inflation at an all-time high of four decades.

Discount store operator, in comparison to its earlier outlook for a rise of 2.5%, forecasts fiscal 2022 that same-store sales will grow by between 3% and 3.5%. According to IBES data from Refinitiv, analysts expected an average increase of 2.3%.
