WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – Residents and businesses of Seaside in California were told to take refuge in place Thursday after a confrontation with a gun-wielding man, according to local media reports.

According to KSBW Action News 8, the suspect was seen barricading himself onto a balcony, and officers tried to communicate with him in an attempt to bring him down.
