AMC Entertainment and Cinemark Rally as ‘Top Gun’ Sequel Released -Breaking

Investing.com — AMC Entertainment (NYSE 🙂 shares and Cinemark (NYSE 🙂 share prices rose Friday in anticipation of the “Top Gun 2” sequel.

AMC Entertainment shares fell to $10 per share in January and are down approximately 50% for the year. Cinemark is up 5.5% during Friday’s trading.

The film, which was delayed several times by the coronavirus pandemic is now expected to be one the most successful box-office hits of this year.

Gitesh Pandya, Editor and Founder of Box Office Guru tweeted that the movie has become both the largest preview for Paramount ever and the most successful Memorial Day weekend film.
