REUTERS/Lev Sergeev(Reuters] – McDonald’s Russia (NYSE 🙂 has submitted patent filings that showed possible brands names. These could include “Fun and Tasty”, and even “The Same One”.
In response to Russia’s war in Ukraine, and subsequent Western sanctions and outrage, the world’s biggest burger chain has decided to sell one of its licensees.
On Friday, the company stated that trademarks it had registered with Russia’s Rospatent agency included “Just Like That”, and “Open Checkout”.
McDonald’s Russia owns 84%, making it the largest international brand to have been displaced since February.
Alexander Govor is selling the restaurant it already owns to him, who also runs a franchise of 25 restaurants. The new brand will also offer other franchisees the opportunity to work under it.
