Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The Frankfurt close saw the addition of 1.62%, which was a new 1-month record, while the index increased 1.08% and the index added 2.66%.

Sartorius AG VZO O.N. was the best performer of the session. (ETR:) rose 5.93%, or 20.30 point to trade at 362.90 by the end. Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. These were the top performers on MDAX Aixtron SE (ETR) rose by 4.25%, to 26.99. Carl Zeiss Meditec AG was up 3.86% and settled at 125.00. Sixt SE(ETR) gained 3.83% to close the deal at 119.20.

The worst performers were K&S AG (ETR:) which was down 5.68% to 25.22 in late trade, Uniper SE (ETR:), which fell by 1.46% to settle for 24.22 Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR) was at its lowest point of 2.90, down 0.79 percent.

The worst performers were 11 AG (ETR:) which was down 0.91% to 19.53 in late trade, Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) which lost 0.79% to settle at 2.90 and S&T AG (ETR:) which was down 0.50% to 15.92 at the close.

The Frankfurt Stock Exchange saw rising stocks surpass declining ones by 525 to157, and ended the day unchanged.

E.ON SE (ETR) shares fell by 2.33%, or 0.23 to 9.65. Aixtron SE’s shares rose to their 5-year peak; they rose by 4.25%, or 1.10 to 29.99.
