India is #1 in the global Adoption of Play-to-Earn & NFT GamesFinder’s recent global survey has shown that India is number one for the adoption of non-fungible token games (NFT), and play-to-earn games (P2E).
India is leading the charge in P2E adoption
According to Finder‘s ‘NFT Gaming Adoption Report‘, India ranks first out of the 26 countries surveyed in the adoption of play-to-earn (P2E) gaming.
This survey, which surveyed 43,312 respondents from 26 countries, found that 34% Indian internet users had played to earn games. That’s significantly higher than the 14% global average.
Hong Kong saw the most P2E players, 29% of its population trying it out. The United Arab Emirates follows up with 27%, then 25% of the Philippines, while 23% of both Vietnam’s and Singapore’s populations round out the top 5.
India To Seek More P2E Gamers
While India clearly leads the way, the survey suggests that the nation’s rate of adoption could grow to be more than 34%. Finder.com writes, “the data suggests that we’ll see NFT gaming adoption grow by 11 percentage points this year.”
According to the survey, 11.4% intend on playing P2E games soon. This could see India’s adoption hit 45% in the coming months.
Also, Finder found that young adults aged 18 to 34 play the best-to-earn game (38% vs. 29%), while men are more likely to do this than women (38% and 29% respectively).
