India stocks up at the close of trade. Nifty 50 is up 1.13%

Investing.com – India stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The NSE closed with the gain of 1.13% and the index adding 1.17%.

These were the best performers of the session Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd. (NS) saw a 5.43% increase or 198.95 point to close at 3,861.75 Meanwhile, Tech Mahindra Ltd (NS.:) increased 4.14% (44.65 points) to reach 1,123.25. HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. (NS.:) was up 3.7%, 20.05 points to 5,98.10 in late trading.

Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (NS:) was the worst performer of the session, falling 5.33% (8.10 points), to close at 143.80. NTPC Ltd (NS) fell 2.76%, or 4.25 points, to close at 149.90 Bharti Airtel Ltd. (NS) fell 1.33%, or 9.25 points, to 684.40.

Tech Mahindra Ltd. rose 4.10% and settled at 1,123.55. IndusInd Bank Ltd. (BO 🙂 was up 3.23% to settle in 926.00. Wipro Ltd. gained 2.98% to end at 466.95.

Bharti Airtel Ltd. (BO) was the worst performer, down 2.43% at 150.45 in late trading. Bharti Airtel Ltd. (BO) was also down 1.24% at 684.75. Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (BO) was at the close with a drop of 0.97% at 224.85.

On the India National Stock Exchange, rising stocks outnumbered those in decline by 1312, 525, and 37. The ending of the Bombay Stock Exchange saw 2126 rise and 1093 fall, and 120 end unchanged.

The implied volatility index of Nifty 50 options was lower by 5.45% to 21.48.

The June delivery of Gold Futures was up 0.46 or 8.54 percent to $1856.14 per troy ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil fell 0.49 or 0.43% to $113.60 per barrel in July, and August Brent oil fell 0.48 or 0.42% to $113.69 per barrel.

USD/INR declined 0.05%, to 77.58. EUR/INR dropped 0.17%, to 83.09.

At 101.85, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.01%.
