OpenSea Users Keep Critical

OpenSea NFT Marketplace implemented major design changes this week. This was done to streamline the user experience and place more emphasis on content. The world’s biggest NFT store says the current updates are just the first steps, but the crypto community seems critical of the newly suggested user experience.

OpenSea has redesigned its Profile and My Collections pages in order to be easier to use, as stated in an official announcement. The platform expects the new design will put more focus on the community’s content. OpenSea stated that upgrades to the technical stack will be part of these changes. This will make the interface more user-friendly and faster.

The newly designed profile page will allow OpenSea’s users to highlight their favorite content and simplify the navigation between its subpages.

In the meantime, the updates on the Collection page include easier browsing and display of favorite creators’ content. OpenSea stated that users can access all other NFTs created by creators directly from their collections.

NFT Marketplace noted that they will be releasing more user interface and design changes over the coming weeks.

Crypto Space is Critical

OpenSea’s latest updates were met with mixed feelings across the crypto community. OpenSea received mixed reviews from crypto community members. While many were complaining about difficult navigation, some others lashed out at OpenSea because they made changes for the sake, not improving what really matters like platform stability or speed.

OpenSea is experiencing stability problems and delays since its rapid growth, which was prompted by global NFT frenzy. Although the popular NFT marketplace saw a 600% increase in transactions volume, many users complained about slow transaction speeds and missing NFTs.

The marketplace is constantly accused of not paying enough attention to security issues and the endless number of scams it hosts despite its partnerships and investments with giant tech companies.

Trading Volumes Decline

OpenSea has had a productive month. Prior to its design and user interface update, the platform launched its “Seaport” NFT marketplace protocol, which will allow NFT buying by using alternative payment methods, like barter.

Nevertheless, the platform’s NFT trading volumes are shrinking. DappRadar reported that sales volumes on the NFT largest marketplace have dropped 44% in the past 30 day.

Meanwhile, NFTrade, Magic Eden and MoonBeans are showing volume numbers in a divergent direction as well three-digit numbers.
