As reportedThe University of Sao Paulo will conduct metaverse-centric research. This research is carried out by groups that are interested in 3D modelling, psychology, human behavior and effectiveness of virtual reality and augmented realities devices. The metaverse will evaluate these domains in order to determine how user interactions are affected by the virtual world.

Marcos A. Simplicio Jr., a professor at USP, stated that it is the first partnership in which USP has received a non-fungible token (NFT). It is a small piece of USM land (USM), which has been built together with other universities.
