Bulgaria’s producer prices up 4.1% m/m in April -Breaking

SOFIA (Reuters – Bulgarian producer prices increased by 4.1% in April, following a 4.3% rise a month prior. The statistics office data were released on Monday.

The statistics office reported that producer prices rose by 49.8% in April due to an increase in energy and food prices.

In April, heating prices rose 5.7% monthly. Prices in the processing industry rose by 2.7%, while prices for mining increased by 4.6%.

In April, the broader index of producer price rose by 3.3% from the month before and recorded a 40.2% year-on-year increase.
