City of Shenzhen airdrops 30M in free digital yuan to stimulate consumer spending

The City of Shenzhen releases 30M worth digital yuan free to encourage consumer spending

Shanghai Securities News reports that Shenzhen is set to become a major city. airdropIn an effort to revive consumer spending, 30 million people will be given digital (eCNY) cards.

Airdrop is jointly organized by Meituan Dianping, China’s largest food delivery service app. Users would first need to login to Meituan, then sign up to receive the incentives.
