TOKYO, Reuters – Japan’s core consumer inflation will probably remain at 2% for the current fiscal year. However, the pace of inflation will drop to April 2023 from Haruhiko Kuroda (Bank of Japan Governor) on Monday.

Kuroda, however, stated to parliament that the BOJ’s target of 2% inflation on a sustained and steady basis was unlikely to be achieved through cost-push inflation.
