- Short positions worth $25 Million BTC were reportedly liquidated within an hour.

In the last two days, the price of (BTC), which has risen above $30,000 due to the uptrend in crypto markets, is more than double the previous week. Altcoins have also seen a rise, with many coins seeing a straight up trend. However, traders who took a BTC short-term position are still losing money despite this.
On-Chain College is a Twitter handle that tracks Bitcoin trends. It posted in less than an hour that Bitcoin valued at $25 million had been liquidated.

BTC traders who traded in a short-term position for BTC lost their gains because they couldn’t meet their expectations of a fall in the price. Short positions in cryptocurrency are when crypto traders take coins from brokers to buy them and then sell them to others. They predict that these coins’ prices will fall in the future. They can also buy coins at low prices and return them to brokers if the price drops.
BTC’s current price hovers around $31,757.88. That is disappointing news for traders who are in a short position. This is because BTC broke traders’ prediction that the coin will lower in price. BTC’s price has risen by 3.44% over the last 24 hours, and 8.48% over the week.
Nearly $143 million was spent on short positions liquidation in February 2022. This happened because traders couldn’t meet their expectations. The Russian war caused a decline in the crypto market.
This is because these traders will need profits, and another crypto-plunge must occur, although this forecast has not been made by the majority of analysts. In the days ahead, cryptocurrency prices are likely to continue rising.
