Taco Bell has run out of Mexican Pizza in less than 2 weeks since the restaurant brought it back.
It is owned by Yum BrandsAccording to, the company stated in a statement it is working with suppliers and restaurants to have the item returned on the menu by fall.
The chain stated on Twitter that they are “working as fast as possible to restock Mexican Pizza Ingredients.”
Taco Bell’s pizza takes on pizza include seasoned beef with refried bean, two crusts with pizza sauce, cheese and tomatoes. You can request it with or without beef.
The demand for Mexican pizza was seven times greater than it was the previous time. in November 2020Taco Bell says that it’s a good deal. As part of an effort to streamline operations and concentrate on the most popular products, Taco Bell had removed Mexican Pizzas and pico de gallo from its menu.
Taco Bell delivered the Mexican Pizza back to customers on May 19 after they had been begging for it. The company stated that Roseville restaurant had sold more than 1000 units in just one day.
Taco Bell leveraged its collaboration with DojaCat to create excitement around the return of this item. Doja Cat, country music icon Dolly Parton and Doja Cat were also part of the TikTok musical that was planned by Taco Bell. Also, the release of this musical was delayed.
Taco Bell is not the only fast-food restaurant that has experienced shortages due to social media buzz. Restaurant Brands International’s Popeyes sold out of its first nationwide chicken sandwichIn August 2019, it was less than one month since its initial debut. A Twitter feud between Chick-fil-A and Popeyes inspired consumers to want to taste the new sandwich for themselves. The customers were more excited when the wait was over. There were long lines in some places for hours when the chicken sandwich made its way back to shops in November.
