CHICAGO (Reuters). General Electric Larry Culp, Chief Executive of Co. (NYSE:), stated supply-chain issues have made it difficult to deliver products to customers.
Culp stated that “fortunately for us it isn’t demand,” to the Bernstein Conference. We have plenty of demand.”
According to the Boston-based industrial conglomerate, it indicated that its April earnings projection was moving toward the lower end. It cited worsening supply chain conditions and inflationary pressures.
In order to minimize the negative impact of the price hikes, the company is increasing the product prices and invoking the service contract’s price escalation clauses. To reduce costs, it is also looking for alternative parts sources and improving productivity.
Culp explained that every company is facing “host of difficulties” to meet customer demand.
