Germany’s Scholz says goal to reduce inflation with 2023 debt brake -Breaking

BERLIN, (Reuters) – Germany has to stop funding long-term subventions with more credit to allow it to return to the constitutionally enshrined debt brake next Year. This was stated by Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Wednesday.

“The goal should be to lower inflationary pressures sustainably,” said he to the Bundestag as legislators met to discuss the country’s budget.
