GM’s new concept car to revolutionize the brand for EVs

DETROIT — General MotorsThe Buick Wildcat concept car was revealed Wednesday. It is a radical change in the company’s strategy to sell only electric vehicles across North America by the middle of the decade.

It reflects the futuristic design and future technological direction of the 119 year-old brand. The logo was significantly updated for this car, the first time it has been done in 30 years.

Buick marketing manager Rob Peterson said elements of the Wildcat will be included in Buick vehicles — both traditional internal combustion engine vehicles and EVs — starting next year.

‘Fresh aesthetic’

With a larger, more aggressive exterior than other models of the brand, the vehicle features an extensive, low grille and horizontal lines. The front and back are also equipped with new, signature “winged”, lights. To make it easier to enter and exit the vehicle, the roof is angled up around its doors.

A floating console extends from the car’s front to the rear and is located inside the 4-passenger vehicle.

The interior is adorned with a green “legato”, and features white seats, red seatbelts, and a “legato”. It features a LCD display screen of 30.4 inches and a half-clear steering wheel.
