REUTERS/Andrew KellyROME, ITALY (Reuters) – Prada Italy (OTC) announced that Roberto Massardi has been appointed chief business development officer of its luxury brand. This appointment comes at a crucial time for the group as it seeks to grow after being hit by the coronavirus epidemic.
Massardi reports directly to the company’s chief executives and is in his current role. Massardi will also be responsible in assessing business opportunities.
He worked previously for Prada, and was director general of Stone Island. Stone Island was just acquired by Moncler.
Prada emerged strong from the pandemic thanks to the desire of cooped up consumers to indulge in high-end shopping. In March, the family-owned company confirmed that it will continue to grow its medium-term growth goals.
