(Reuters) – A Ukrainian Presidential Advisor and Peace Talks Negotiator claimed that the United States and Europe have an “irrational fear of Russia” in an Interfax Ukraine interview, released Wednesday.

Mykhailo Podolyak (a key negotiator to Ukraine in previous talks with Russia) stated that the West’s political elites want “to return to pre-war times and not solve problems”, adding that financial considerations trumped their decision-making.
