New York’s move to ban cryptocurrency mining prompts community responseNew York is pushing forward legislation that would ban proof-of work (PoW) miners once it has been approved. Members of crypto communities can voice their disapproval through social media.
Jake Chervinsky is the Head of Policy at Blockchain Association. Explained that the move will not “reduce carbon emissions” at all. Chervinsky says that the mining ban would only drive miners from New York City to construct in other areas where they have no control.
